Remote computer support engineer
Atomik.biz is looking for a remote computer support engineer in Leighton Buzzard to provide telephone support of customers, using remote technologies. Customer site visits will be part of the role, and the successful applicant will need to provide their own transport. Initially and with Covid 19 limitations customer visits will be minimal.
The role includes managing internal systems and cloud-based services provided to customers. The job requires excellent language skills, both written and verbal, and a clear telephone voice is essential.
Some training will take place at our office is in Leighton Buzzard but will require self-development and home study. We will make extensive use of remote technologies for ongoing training and teamwork.
The successful applicant will participate in other aspects of the business, including sales and marketing, and working on the website.
You will need a suitable workspace at home, which must be free of distractions and allow you to provide a professional service. You will need a reliable, fast Internet connection.
Good networking skills including routers, wireless, and Microsoft Windows is a minimum, but ideally, you should have some Microsoft qualifications, including Office 365. Skills in VoIP telephony, VMware, and WordPress are desirable. Hardware skills would also be an advantage. You will be part of a small team and need to be highly motivated and keen to learn.
Salary is dependent on experience. We pay travel expenses for customer visits.
